Safety & Wellbeing Agreement

By making a booking, entering the premises, or using any Osmos facilities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Assumption of Risk
1.1. I understand that the use of saunas, heat therapy, ice baths, cold therapy, and contrast therapy involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• dizziness, fainting, nausea, dehydration
• cardiovascular stress, rapid heart rate changes
• muscle cramps, slips/falls on wet surfaces
• burns, cold-related skin irritation, and temperature shock
• exacerbation of pre-existing medical conditions
1.2. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, medical event, or adverse reaction that may occur.
2. Personal Responsibility
2.1. I confirm that:
• I am physically capable of using the sauna, ice bath, or both.
• I do not have any medical conditions that make heat or cold exposure unsafe (including uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular disease, fainting history, pregnancy, Raynaud’s syndrome, or similar), OR I have obtained medical clearance.
• I will follow all instructions, time limits, and temperature guidelines provided by Osmos.
2.2. I understand that I am responsible for monitoring my own wellbeing and agree to exit the sauna/ice bath immediately if I feel unwell.
3. Release of Liability
3.1. To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, I release, indemnify, and hold harmless Osmos Recovery Space, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any liability for:
• personal injury or illness
• psychological injury
• property loss or damage
• aggravation of existing medical conditions
• accidental harm to myself or others
3.2. This release applies even if the injury or damage is caused by my own actions, improper use of equipment, slipping or tripping, entering/exiting baths, or failure to follow safety instructions.
3.3. I acknowledge that nothing in this waiver limits guarantees required under Australian Consumer Law, but that I waive any additional claims beyond those guarantees.
4. Equipment and Facility Use
4.1. I agree to use all equipment safely and responsibly.
4.2. I accept financial responsibility for any damage I cause to the facility, equipment, or property (excluding normal wear and tear).
4.3. I understand that wet floors carry slip risk, and I will move carefully around the facility.
5. Hygiene, Behaviour & Conduct
5.1. I will adhere to all hygiene standards, including:
• showering before ice bath/sauna use
• using provided towels
• wearing appropriate swimwear
• not entering while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
5.2. I agree to use the facilities in a respectful, safe manner and will not engage in behaviour that could cause injury or discomfort to others.
6. Medical Emergencies
6.1. I understand that Osmos staff may not always be physically present during sessions.
6.2. I accept responsibility for recognising when to cease activity.
6.3. I authorise Osmos to seek emergency medical assistance if required, at my expense.
7. Privacy & Security
7.1. Osmos may collect personal information necessary for bookings, safety, and facility management.
7.2. I consent to this information being stored securely and used in accordance with Australian privacy laws.
8. Agreement to Terms
By completing a booking, ticking the acknowledgement box, or entering the facility, I confirm that:
• I have read and understood these Terms & Conditions / Waiver & Release.
• I agree to be bound by them.
• I voluntarily assume all risks associated with sauna, ice bath, and contrast therapy use.
I understand that this agreement applies to all current and future visits to Osmos.
